Vintage Market: Milan

Outside the Duomo Di Milano

My friends and I recently returned home from an amazing trip to Italy. We got to experience all the beautiful and breathtaking sights that Verona had to offer, as well as Florence, which can only be described as a city full of energy and romance. I know it sounds cheesy but it's so true. We finally rounded off the trip by staying in the very vogue city of Milan for a few days, before getting our plane back to sunny Scotland. Yeah right.

While my friends and I were wandering around central Milan, checking out the shopping, as well as running back and forward to the street vendors selling slushy drinks, we managed to stumble across a vintage market hidden away off the side of the Piazza del Duomo:

A hair-raising amount of hat pins

Pearl necklaces galore! With adorable hand mirrors to check how they looked on

Vintage clip-on earrings

Would have bought this in a heartbeat if I thought I could get it home to Scotland safely.
And if I had a record player...

Sneaky candid shots of friends getting into the market spirit!

I ended up buying a cute pair of vintage earrings that according to the lady whose stall it was, originated in Austria in the 1960's! I bought them straight away as I remembered I had bought a similarly styled bracelet with a hidden watch from a vintage shop in Edinburgh a while back that they would match perfectly with, and I was right!

Very pleased that we came across this vintage outdoor market in our last few days in Italy, as I got to bring home a unique souvenir, and it was a great way to round off a fantastic trip.
